I’m Afraid of Americans is the final evening of Les Fleurs du Mal: The Festival at THONK TANK.
The evening brings together Vaast Colson, Ria Pacquée, Poppy Miller, Carly Rae Heathcote & Jana De Kockere, Bink, music by Dora Brams, and THONK TANK’s Vending Machine Act I.
LES FLEURS DU MAL starts at the tension between beauty, sincerity, discomfort and moral ambiguity. It is interested in what happens when art is not read only as an object or a message, but as a temporary situation produced between artist, audience, space and time.
For THE FESTIVAL, this becomes visible in the movement between serious and playful, intimate and confrontational, musical and performative, high art and low art.
This is the final night of Part II of Les Fleurs du Mal. We hope to see you back in December for Part III of this year’s program.
